Baroque Dreams Necklace

This necklace with its bold ornamentation and complex form represents the Baroque style prevalent in 17th century jewelry. The central Pendant is reminiscent of a flower form. Four large pearls make up the supporting structure and have a four petal piece of embellished beadwork attached to the back. Two hanging elements attached to the bottom of the Pendant bring movement to the overall design. Cylinder beads and seedbeads are the matrix used to bring the design together. The main beadwork stitches used are peyote and herringbone stitches.
