New 2 day Workshop
Look with a View Necklace features a tiny beaded fine brass Kaleidoscope. The Kaleidoscope is filled with colored glass gems in assorted shapes for your viewing pleasure. On each end of the Kaleidoscope will be a muli-colored beaded cap which is done in peyote stitch using decreases or increases. The caps are embellished with crystals, seedbeads and tiny bezeled pearls. The body of the Kaleidoscope is covered with a skin of peyote stitch and embellished with crystals and assorted sizes of seedbeads. Loops are attached to the top of the Kaleidoscope so that it can hang from a beautiful embellished length of beaded chain. The Kaleidoscope hangs from a embellished beaded component (centerpiece) which allows for the Kaleidoscope to be removed from the necklace strand so that you can look thru it. The necklace strand part of the Kaleidoscope is a continuous length of twisted Ndebele (herringbone) rope.

Skill Level – Advanced
Requirements – Students most know how to do peyote stitch and be able to count rows. This workshop uses increases and decreases using peyote stitch. Parts of the design will use circular peyote stitch. Students also need to be familiar with herringbone stitch.
